Job Description

Shiv Software Experts LLC is seeking qualified Software Developers / Software Engineers for multiple openings in Herndon, Virginia. The selected candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and data-processing solutions using a range of programming languages, web technologies, databases, data-engineering tools, and cloud platforms.

The position involves participation throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using Python.
• Develop web applications and backend services using Flask and Django.
• Create responsive and interactive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS.
• Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using MySQL.
• Develop and maintain data integration and ETL processes using Informatica.
• Build and maintain distributed data-processing applications using PySpark.
• Design, implement, and support cloud-based applications and services using Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, cloud services, and other enterprise systems.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Perform unit, integration, and functional testing of software applications.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to established software development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, project managers, and other technical professionals.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, application specifications, and deployment documentation.
• Support application deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and production troubleshooting.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and development tools and recommend appropriate solutions when applicable.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in software development or a related technical field.
• Strong programming experience with Python.
• Experience with Flask and/or Django.
• Experience with frontend technologies including:

• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• AngularJS
• Experience with MySQL or other relational database technologies.
• Experience with Informatica and ETL/data integration processes.
• Experience with PySpark and distributed data processing.
• Knowledge or experience with cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a technical team.

Work Location & Relocation

The primary work location is Herndon, Virginia. The employee must be willing to relocate to an unanticipated worksite if required by the employer.
